Continuous interest in the marginalized in the local community

Molex Korea, a company in the electronic connector field, received a commendation for its contribution to the "spread of a culture of sharing" from Ansan City (Mayor Je Jong-gil) on December 24.

The 'Award for Meritorious Service in Spreading a Culture of Sharing' is an annual award presented by Ansan City to institutions, companies, and citizens based in Ansan who are dedicated to spreading and revitalizing a culture of sharing through continuous charitable activities, in recognition of their contributions.

The recipients of this year's 'Spread of Sharing Culture' awards were selected as follows: Korea Molex, LG Innotek, Hyogwang Co., Ltd., Kang Gwang-ju of the Seonbu 1-dong Neighborhood Council, Lee Dae-sik of Saenal Korean Medicine Clinic, Yedamchi, and Lim Tae-hee, who were recognized for their consistent sharing activities in the local community that have given hope to low-income families and contributed to the culture of sharing.

At the awards ceremony, Ansan Mayor Je Jong-gil expressed his gratitude, stating, “The continuous interest and warm helping hands shown by the award winners toward the underprivileged in the community have made Ansan a warmer place and have served as a good example for spreading a culture of sharing.”

Continuous volunteering at nursing homes and as a helper for over 10 years
In the future, it will be expanded to include people with disabilities and children.

Molex Korea in 2006For nearly 10 years since [year], [we] have been delivering food supplies every month to elderly care facilities and Seonshim nursing homes and providing meal assistance services, and since January 2013, we have been returning company profits to society by donating a fixed amount every month to single-parent and grandparent-headed households and elderly people living alone in Ansan City.

In particular, starting this year, they are expanding their helping hand to the underprivileged by donating a substantial amount to the House of the Little Lamb, a care facility for the severely disabled, and delivering daily necessities every other month.


Furthermore, every year, Molex Korea employees have donated a substantial amount to Songamdongsan, a children's protection facility, through voluntary fundraising activities and provided volunteer services such as wallpapering; to support these volunteer activities, the company allows employees to utilize their work hours.

Meanwhile, in addition to these materials and volunteer services, Molex Korea is enhancing its corporate image as a company striving to establish a culture of sharing and giving by voluntarily carrying out various social contribution activities, such as signing a "One Company, One Park" agreement with Ansan City in 2015 to clean up the environment of parks around the company every month and continuously participating in urban beautification work in the local community.
