CamSys, a company specializing in camera modules for mobile phones, announced that it will be participating in the '2016 Consumer Electronics Show (CES)' and introducing new, advanced vehicle IT technology products.

CamSys will be showcasing a new HD-grade 3D Surround View Monitor (AVM) product at CES 2016. The company said that this product offers HD-grade (1280x720p) picture quality, which is higher than the existing VGA-grade (640x480p), and 3D video technology to provide 360-degree stereoscopic images, thereby enhancing driver convenience. The company also announced that it will present a variety of related product groups, including a Wi-Fi black box and a rear-view camera for battlefield use, to demonstrate its technological prowess and vision in the automotive IT field.

According to the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and the automotive industry, the size of the automotive exhibition has been expanded by 25% compared to last year, as smart car technology, which is a fusion of automotive technology and electronic IT technology, has emerged as a hot topic. Nine global automakers, including Audi and BMW, and around 100 automotive technology companies are expected to participate in the automobile-related exhibition.

A CamSys representative stated, “We received great responses to our vehicle IT technology through our participation in the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and Korea Sourcing Fair, which led us to participate in the 2016 CES.” They added, “Through this exhibition, we will secure new business partners in the North American, Central and South American markets with upgraded products, laying the foundation for our future entry into the global market.”
