FLIR Hosts 'Life Safety' Photo Contest
Published2016.01.06 11:10FLIR Systems Korea, a company specializing in thermal imaging, announced that it will hold a FLIR thermal imaging photo contest themed around safety in daily life.
Anyone who uses a FLIR thermal imaging camera can participate in this photo contest. Simply capture scenes from various surrounding locations—such as homes, offices, schools, playgrounds, and performance venues—that raise awareness about safety, accidents, and fire prevention using a thermal camera, and submit them along with the application form on the FLIR Systems website (http://www.flirkorea.com/FLIRNews).
Entries are limited to one per person and must be submitted in JPEG file format within 5MB. The submission deadline is February 12, 2016 (Fri), and the judging results will be announced on February 22, 2016 (Mon) via the FLIR System website (http://www.flirkorea.com/FLIRNews) and blog (http://blog.naver.com/flirsystem).
In this contest, a total of 53 winners will be awarded, including one Grand Prize winner. One Grand Prize winner will receive a FLIR C2 portable thermal imaging camera, one Best Prize winner will receive a FLIR TG165 thermal imaging camera, and one Excellence Prize winner will receive a wireless headset. Fifty winners of the encouragement award will each receive one mobile coupon (worth 10,000 won) for purchasing a coffee beverage.
FLIR Systems Korea stated, “As the use of various electrical appliances increases in our daily lives, including in offices and homes as well as in industrial sites, greater attention to electrical safety and fire prevention is required. Particular caution is needed during the winter, when the use of heating devices such as heaters and electric blankets increases rapidly,” adding, “We hope that this FLIR thermal imaging photo contest will serve as an opportunity to reflect on the importance of safety and fire prevention in daily life and to protect the well-being of not only ourselves and our families, but also our colleagues and neighbors.”
