It was explained that when the sensor equipped in the HC500 detects vibration or shock, it immediately stops data transfer of the external hard drive and maintains it in the safest state, and at this time, the LED indicator that indicates the operation of the external hard drive flashes red to inform the user that the external hard drive is unable to operate normally due to shock or vibration.

The seamless, sleek, one-piece aluminum case is also a noteworthy feature. In an external hard drive market dominated by plastic cases, it is expected to appeal significantly to consumers seeking a product with robust durability and a sophisticated design. In particular, a key feature is the design incorporating a fine textured surface to prevent contamination from fingerprints or foreign substances.

In addition, the HC500 supports a Personal Cloud function based on 'NTI MiST' software, simple and easy backup software, and features such as recording TV video to an external hard drive when connected to a supported smart TV.
