Adopts Dassault Systèmes Automotive Solutions
Dassault Systèmes announced that U.S. electric vehicle manufacturing startup Faraday Future has adopted its 3D Experience platform. Faraday Future utilized Dassault Systèmes' automotive industry-specialized solutions, Target Zero Defect and Smart Safe & Connected, in developing the concept for new electric vehicles and connected cars unveiled at CES 2016.
The rapidly evolving automotive industry requires manufacturing methods capable of integrating new trends such as internet connectivity, alternative energy, and autonomous driving technology with traditional automotive design. Faraday Future decided to adopt the platform based on the recognition that Dassault Systèmes' 3D Experience platform is the only innovative platform capable of rapidly integrating design and technology. The company deployed automotive industry-specialized solutions based on the 3D Experience platform across the workplaces of 400 employees worldwide over a two-week period. Through this, the company has become capable of designing, simulating, and manufacturing vehicles in a completely different manner than before.

Manufacturing Facility Planned for Las Vegas; 3D Experience Platform Adoption

Dassault Systèmes will also supply its 3D Experience platform to Faraday Future's manufacturing facility planned to open in Las Vegas. Multiple companies, including Faraday Future, are utilizing Dassault Systèmes' manufacturing industry-specialized solutions such as Lean Production Run for factory optimization, quality management, and real-time equipment operations management. By leveraging the manufacturing capabilities of the 3D Experience platform, Faraday Future will be able to establish a state-of-the-art high-tech factory and lead the future of next-generation automobiles.

TI Unveils Multi-Axis Coreless Current Sensor TMCS2100-Q1 for HEV/EV Traction Inverters
Texas Instruments has unveiled the TMCS2100-Q1, a multi-axis coreless Hall-effect current sensor for HEV and EV traction inverters.
