Keysight Korea Donates Automation Software to Ajou University

Contributing to cooperation in talent development and research revitalization
Keysight Korea announced that it has donated semiconductor design automation software worth 1.6 billion won to Ajou University. Keysight Korea CEO Yoon Duk-kwon visited Ajou University President Kim Dong-yeon on January 18 and donated two sets of 'device modeling software' to the College of Information and Communication Engineering.
Keysight EEsof EDA's 'Device Modeling (ICCAP, MBP, MAQ) Simulation Software' is automation software for semiconductor device modeling engineers and has established itself as the global standard for design automation software.
At the donation ceremony on this day, Ajou University President Kim Dong-yeon stated, “The College of Information and Communication Engineering at Ajou University aims to create a new paradigm for society by fostering high-level information and communication engineers,” adding, “The quality of practical training at the College of Information and Communication Engineering has been enhanced through the software of Keysight, a leader in the field of electronic measurement. We plan to actively use it for education and research to cultivate internationally competitive information and communication talents.”
Yoon Deok-kwon, CEO of Keysight Korea, stated, “Keysight Korea hopes that the donation of device modeling software will not only enhance students’ practical research capabilities but also contribute to the future development of the domestic design field,” adding, “We plan to continue doing our utmost to provide ongoing support and cooperation to foster outstanding talent at Ajou University and revitalize information and communications research.”

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.

Ecolab Expands AI Data Center Cooling Business Through Acquisition of CoolIT
Ecolab has agreed to acquire CoolIT Systems, a liquid cooling company for AI data centers, for approximately $4.75 billion. The transaction is expected to close by Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. CoolIT has been supplying direct-to-chip cooling-based coolant distribution units, cold plates, and manifolds, serving hyperscale data centers and colocation operators as customers. This acquisition is a measure to address the high-heat and high-density server environments created by AI proliferation. Ecolab plans to combine its water management and digital monitoring capabilities with CoolIT's hardware technology to expand its data center cooling business.
