Lenovo Korea Targets Enterprise Market with System X Promotion
Published2016.01.21 16:40Lenovo Korea announced that it is aggressively targeting the enterprise market with a x86 server promotion. Lenovo Korea is offering System x servers at special prices and offering customer gifts from today until March 25th.
Lenovo System x3650 M5This campaign, featuring best-selling x86 servers, will give away a KFC half-chicken bucket to the first 50 customers who request a quote by March 25th. Additionally, the first 50 customers who download the Lenovo System X brochure will receive a Starbucks Caffe Latte coupon.
Lenovo System X ranked first in x86 server availability in the ITIC Global Server Hardware Reliability Report 2014-2015 and, for the second consecutive quarter, topped the TBR Customer Satisfaction Survey. Furthermore, through collaborations with leading global software companies, the company has further focused on hardware capabilities, achieving performance improvements of up to 130%.
This promotional product includes the System x3250 M5, a 1U 1-socket rack server that is compact, economical, and offers higher reliability than its class with redundant power supplies; the System x3500 M5, a 2-socket tower server suitable for large-capacity workloads; and the System x3650 M5, a versatile 2U 2-socket rack server with flexible storage configurations. Equipped with Intel Xeon processors, the Lenovo System x M5 boasts outstanding security, stability, and efficiency, and is widely used in Korea by public institutions, portal companies, and large corporations. Furthermore, System x Trusted Platform Assurance enhances security, protecting corporate data from malware. Built-in security features link hardware and firmware to minimize vulnerabilities.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Ecolab Expands AI Data Center Cooling Business Through Acquisition of CoolIT
Ecolab has agreed to acquire CoolIT Systems, a liquid cooling company for AI data centers, for approximately $4.75 billion. The transaction is expected to close by Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. CoolIT has been supplying direct-to-chip cooling-based coolant distribution units, cold plates, and manifolds, serving hyperscale data centers and colocation operators as customers. This acquisition is a measure to address the high-heat and high-density server environments created by AI proliferation. Ecolab plans to combine its water management and digital monitoring capabilities with CoolIT's hardware technology to expand its data center cooling business.
