A processor that retains the strengths of the existing Zenbook design and enhances graphics performance

ASUS, one of the top three consumer notebook brands, has launched two Ultrabooks, the Zenbook UX305UA and UX303UB, equipped with Intel's latest 6th generation (Skylake) Core™ i7 processor, strengthening its Skylake-based premium notebook lineup. ASUS, which launched the first gaming notebook equipped with a Skylake processor in Korea last year, is accelerating its efforts to solidify its position in the high-end notebook market by expanding its product lineup to include Ultrabooks.

The Zenbook UX305UA is a 13.3-inch QHD+ ultra-slim laptop featuring an aluminum unibody structure. It features the Zenbook's signature tapered wedge diamond-cut metal highlights and concentric circle design, just like its predecessor, the UX305FA, which earned the title of the world's thinnest 13.3-inch laptop by being thinner than last year's Apple MacBook. The UX305UA is also optimized for portability, with a thickness of 16mm and a weight of 1.3kg.

Above all, the Zenbook UX305UA maximizes computer performance by featuring a Skylake processor, up to 8GB of RAM, and an ultra-fast 512GB SSD. For the display, it supports an IPS display with up to 3200x1800 pixels, which is five times higher than the standard HD display resolution, and 276 PPI (pixels per inch), allowing you to enjoy clear and vivid images and videos.

In addition, expandability has been enhanced through a battery that lasts up to 12 hours, a Super Speed USB 3.0 port, ASUS Charger Plus for rapid charging of mobile devices, and USB-Ethernet ports including a Mini DisplayPort and VGA adapter for easy connection to an external monitor.

The Zenbook UX303UB is also a new ultrabook equipped with Skylake. With dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT940M graphics and a massive 2GB of video memory, the Zenbook UX303UB boasts desktop-level performance, fantastic image quality, and smooth rendering of high-resolution videos and the latest games.

Another key feature is the inclusion of ultra-high-speed storage, which is essential for enabling rapid application execution and an easy computing experience. The Zenbook UX303UB supports up to 1TB hybrid hard disks and up to 512GB SATA 6Gbit/s solid-state disks (SSDs). Storing or loading large files or documents is significantly faster than with conventional hard disks, and boot times have also been drastically reduced. Another advantage is that it can last up to 7 hours on battery power alone.

The design has also taken the Zenbook's sophistication to a whole new level. It showcases the classic lines of the ZenBook with lighter aluminum, a thinner profile, and a front thickness tapered to 3mm. It supports a total of three colors—Brown, Gold, and Rose Gold—to accommodate diverse consumer color preferences.

The recently released ASUS N551VW and N552VW, equipped with Skylake processors, are also receiving continued interest from performance-oriented consumers. Optimized for entertainment such as gaming and video, the N551VW and N552VW, the latest models in the ASUS N series, are establishing themselves as the standard for high-performance laptops with significantly enhanced performance thanks to the inclusion of Skylake processors.

Meanwhile, Intel's latest processor, Skylake, can be installed in the widest variety of products among all processors released to date and is characterized by significantly improved graphics processing performance. 3D graphics processing performance has improved by more than 40% compared to the previous generation, and above all, it supports 'DirectX 12,' allowing users to enjoy high-quality games using the integrated graphics processing unit (GPU).
