Huawei's budget smartphone, the 'Huawei P8 lite,' launched in Europe last April, has surpassed 10 million units in shipments just nine months after its release. With this, the total shipments of Huawei's flagship 'Huawei P8' series have exceeded 16 million units.
Huawei has also achieved monthly smartphone shipments of 10 million units for four consecutive months since last October, and continues its rapid growth, shipping 12 million units in January, a whopping 93% increase year-on-year. These achievements signify a significant increase in consumer interest in Huawei products, as the company grows rapidly in the global smartphone market and expands its brand influence. In 2015, it shipped 108 million smartphones, a 44% increase from the previous year, further solidifying its position as the world's third-largest smartphone brand.
