Fitbit, Inc. unveiled the stylish fitness band Fitbit Alta to the world today.



The Fitbit Alta, a slim and stylish fitness band, is characterized by its fashionable appeal, featuring easily replaceable accessory bands. Available in a total of three styles, it can be worn for any occasion and allows you to express your individuality.

The newly introduced activity notification feature motivates you to achieve your exercise goals by notifying you to walk 250 steps every hour. It is even more attractive because you can easily set it to Do Not Disturb mode so that notifications do not ring when you have a long meeting or prior appointment.

Just like the existing Fitbit Charge HR, Alta automatically detects and records not only basic aerobic exercises such as elliptical, cycling, running, and walking, but also various sports including soccer, basketball, and tennis through its SmartTrack automatic exercise monitoring function, and motivates users to achieve weekly exercise goals they set themselves through the exercise goal setting function.

The OLED screen on the product displays the current time, step count, distance traveled, floors climbed, and calories burned. Furthermore, when a smartphone is nearby, it enables users to check phone, text, and calendar notifications directly on their wrist via Bluetooth connectivity, providing on-screen messages and gentle vibrations.

In addition, Alta automatically measures the number of times you toss and turn or wake up during sleep, as well as your total sleep time, to analyze sleep efficiency, and wakes you up in the morning with a gentle vibration alert. Furthermore, it lasts for up to 5 days on a single charge and is compatible with over 200 Android, iOS, Windows Mobile, and PC devices.

The Fitbit Alta is available for pre-sale today on the official Fitbit website (http://www.fitbit.com/), and is scheduled to be released in Korea this April for 189,000 won (including VAT).
