KT announced on the 16th that it will release Samsung Electronics' 'Galaxy View' on the 16th through Olleh stores nationwide and Olleh Shop (shop.olleh.com) and will run a promotion for customers who sign up.
The Galaxy View is a new tablet model optimized for watching ultra-high-definition videos, featuring a large 18.4-inch Full HD screen and high-output stereo speakers of 4W each (8W total). It also features a dedicated OTT service screen, the Media Scroll Home, allowing you to watch various media apps on one screen. With a 5,700mAh large-capacity battery that allows for 8 hours of video playback, a built-in stand, and support for LTE and WiFi, you can freely enjoy video content anytime, anywhere.
In addition, you can freely send your family's smartphone photos or handwritten notes to the Galaxy View through the 'Family Square' app, and it provides a full HD video call 'Skype' service optimized for the Galaxy View, providing a service specialized for families. Additionally, you can connect the controller function to your smartphone to enjoy more thrilling and exciting games using only the Galaxy View and your smartphone.
To celebrate the launch of the Galaxy View, KT will provide all customers who open and sign up for the Galaxy View by June 30th with the Olleh TV Mobile Prime Movie Pack + up to 2GB of dedicated data per day, free for six months, and an additional 5,000 won in TV points for watching paid VOD. Samsung Electronics will also provide the Pooq Ultra High Definition Real-Time Terrestrial TV + VOD Access Ticket free for six months. The retail price of the LTE-type Galaxy View has been set at 699,600 won.
“In the OTT era, we launched the Galaxy View to meet the needs of customers who want to comfortably enjoy high-quality online video content anywhere and the needs for a large tablet device for customer consultation,” said Koo Young-kyun, executive director in charge of convergence terminals at KT. “KT plans to continue to release terminals that can meet the needs of various customers.”
