Wins 32 awards with 'LG G5 and Friends'
The response to the launch of LG Electronics' 'G5' has been extraordinary. At 'MWC 2016' held in Barcelona, Spain, the company had the honor of winning 32 awards—the most among participating companies—for 'LG G5 and Friends'.
The Global Mobile Association (GSMA), which hosts MWC 2016, selected the LG G5 as the "Best Mobile Handsets & Devices." IT specialized media outlet 'BGR' selected 'LG G5' and 'LG Rolling Bot' as 'MWC 2016 Winner', and 'Android Authority' selected 'LG G5 and Friends' as 'Best of MWC 2016'.
In addition, LG Electronics received top ratings from leading international media outlets such as Digital Trends, Trusted Reviews, and Ubergizmo.
LG Electronics was recognized for its innovation by presenting the infinite expansion possibilities of smartphones through the world's first application of a 'modular type' that allows devices to combine with each other to the 'LG G5 and Friends'.
LG Electronics MC Business Division President Cho Jun-ho emphasized, “We will deliver fun and enjoyment that customers could not have imagined,” adding, “This award signifies that LG Electronics has presented innovative and differentiated value to the smartphone market.”
