Addressing the trend requiring lower operating ranges in mobile and portable components
Design engineers for mobile and portable products face two challenges: the need to reduce the number of individual components that must be ordered for a specific design to streamline supply chain management, and the need for a lower operating range of logic gates. To meet these requirements, Fairchild Semiconductor has developed the TinyLogic® 74AUP family, which is universal, multi-functional, and configurable.
This product family consists of configurable logic gates that enable multiple logic functions from a single-two input device. The 74AUP product family can perform nine different logic functions, such as AND, NAND, OR, NOR, XOR, XNOR, MUX, inverter, and buffer, allowing various functions to be used in a single component, thereby reducing the overall number of components when purchasing.
Additionally, the 74AUP family addresses the design trend of mobile and portable products for lower operating ranges by providing compatibility with core processors and lower operating range applications. These components are designed with a wide low voltage operating range from 0.8V to 3.6V, capable of driving 4mA of capacity while maintaining an excellent switching speed of 15ns.
The 74AUP product family guarantees very low static and dynamic power consumption through the recommended total voltage range. All inputs operate with slower transmission input signals and allowed hysteresis for better switching noise immunity.
This product family includes the 74AUP1G57, 74AUP1G58, 74AUP1G97, and 74AUP1G98 universal configurable logic gates with two inputs, low power, and nine different configurable logic functions, and the 74AUP1T97 product also features a single supply voltage level
