Six new PIC32 family products added, boasting lower power consumption and higher flash durability
Microchip Technology (Country Manager for Korea: Han Byung-don), a global specialist in microcontroller, analog, and flash IP solutions, has introduced six new 32-bit PIC32MX5/6/7 microcontrollers that include the same built-in Ethernet, CAN, USB, and serial communication peripherals as before, while adding new cost-effective memory options.
These products have also been redesigned to provide an operating current of 0.5 mA/MHz, enhanced flash memory durability of up to 20,000 read/write cycles, and superior EEPROM emulation capabilities. Furthermore, because the PIC32 portfolio maintains a common pinout, designers are free to select and use the optimal product to strike a balance between memory and cost for their respective high-performance applications.

Embedded designers are constantly looking for ways to lower costs without compromising performance or functionality. Microchip’s latest 80MHz PIC32 microcontroller family addresses these requirements by maintaining best-in-class performance of 1.56 DMIPS/MHz, integrating Ethernet, CAN, USB, and multiple serial communication channels, and providing additional cost-effective memory options. In particular, this product family features 32Kbytes of RAM and up to 140Kbytes of flash memory.
