Read performance is up to 550MB/s

Data storage for PCs, the cloud, and enterprises is shifting to Solid State Drives (SSDs). Among them, OCZ Storage Solutions (OCZ) has launched a new product into the market since being incorporated into the Toshiba Group.

Incom CNC Co., Ltd. (CEO Won Chung-yeon), a domestic supplier of OCZ's SSD product line, announced on the 8th that it is officially launching OCZ's SSD 'Trion 150' series, which will satisfy performance and consumers.

The Trion 150 series is a product developed by incorporating Toshiba's technology and is equipped with state-of-the-art Toshiba 15-nanometer (nm) TLC (Triple Level Cell) NAND Flash Memory and a Toshiba SSD controller. It is characterized by achieving performance, stability, and lifespan by employing NAND flash memory and controllers manufactured using a microfabrication process.

In particular, it has the advantage of continuously maintaining write performance of over 250MB/s even after the cache, compensating for the disadvantage of existing TLC-based SSDs where write performance drops sharply after the cache section ends.

Read performance reaches up to 550MB/s, and write speeds also reach up to 530MB/s. Furthermore, it achieves a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of up to 1.5 million hours, ensuring a long lifespan for stable, long-term use. Its thickness of just 7mm makes it effective for upgrading existing ultra-thin laptops as well as PCs.

'SSD Guru,' which offers a variety of features, helps with more convenient monitoring and performance optimization. Using SSD Guru, a management tool dedicated to OCZ SSDs, you can easily monitor the status of the SSD and optimize it for the system, and simply update to new firmware as needed.
