LG Electronics will release the 'LG Stylus 2', a smartphone priced at around 300,000 won with a built-in 'stylus pen', through the three major domestic mobile carriers this week.

Despite being a large 5.7-inch smartphone, the Stylus 2 boasts a lightweight and slim design, weighing just 145 grams and measuring 7.4 mm thick, providing optimal grip. At 145 grams, it weighs about half an apple. LG Electronics has added a touch of luxury by adding a metallic finish to the edges. The product is available in two colors: titanium and white.

LG Electronics implemented the stylus pen tip with a thin 'nano-coated fiber' instead of the existing blunt 'rubberdium', allowing for precise writing as if using an actual pen. In particular, 'Stylus 2' sets 'Calligraphy Pen Type' as the default font, providing the feel of writing with a fountain pen.

LG Electronics provides more convenient usability by applying the 'Floating Pen Menu' to the 'Stylus 2'.

The 'Floating Pen Menu' is a shortcut menu that allows you to quickly execute related functions such as 'Pop Memo', 'Capture+', and 'Pop Scanner' by pulling out the stylus pen from any screen.

"Pop Memo" is a feature that floats a notepad over the current screen, allowing you to easily jot down handwritten notes. "Capture+" allows you to write notes directly on the current screen or crop and save them. "Pop Scanner" automatically recognizes the document area when you take a picture of it and converts it into a neat, scanned image.

In addition to this, the 'Stylus 2' is equipped with differentiated UX such as 'Direct Memo' that allows you to write notes directly on the screen even when the screen is off, and 'Pen Guardian' that provides a notification when the pen moves beyond a certain distance from the smartphone to prevent loss of the pen.

LG Electronics MC Korea Sales FD Vice President Cho Seong-ha emphasized, “The ‘Stylus 2’ offers a light and slim design and a differentiated ‘stylus pen’ UX,” and “With this product, we will attack the large-screen smartphone market.”
