Samsung Electronics Finally Launches 'Galaxy 7' Series in Korea

Expanding the market with upgraded camera features, device waterproofing, and Samsung Pay
Samsung Electronics held the 'Galaxy S7 Media Day' at the Dynasty Hall of Hotel Shilla in Seoul on the 10th and announced the domestic launch of the 'Galaxy S7 Edge' and 'Galaxy S7'.
The Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 are characterized by upgraded smartphone camera features. By applying a 'Dual Pixel' image sensor to the smartphones, both the front and rear cameras are equipped with F1.7 aperture lenses, enabling clear shooting even in low-light conditions.
The second feature is that the 'Galaxy S7 Edge' and 'Galaxy S7' have obtained the highest water and dust resistance rating, IP68. In particular, water and dust resistance has been applied not only to the entire structure of the smartphone but also to individual components such as the USB port and earphone jack, allowing for worry-free use without a separate cover.
Finally, a micro SD card slot is included to expand the capacity up to 200GB. The 'Galaxy S7 Edge' is equipped with a 3,600mAh battery, and the 'Galaxy S7' with a 3,000mAh battery. It appears that Samsung will further strengthen its 'Samsung Pay' service to coincide with the launch of the 'Galaxy S7 Edge' and 'Galaxy S7' in Korea, aiming to expand the reach of the mobile payment market.
Sales of the 'Galaxy S7 Edge' and 'Galaxy S7' will begin on the 11th through the three major domestic mobile carriers, with retail prices of 836,000 won for the 32GB 'Galaxy S7', 880,000 won for the 64GB 'Galaxy S7', 924,000 won for the 32GB 'Galaxy S7 Edge', and 968,000 won for the 64GB 'Galaxy S7 Edge'.
