CMOS image sensor portfolio powers Germany's ARRI's advanced ALEXA digital movie cameras!
Cypress Korea (Country Manager Lim Young-do www.cypress.com ) [announces] its Image Sensor Division's CMOS image sensor
It was announced that it was designed with the advanced 35 mm ALEXA digital cinema camera of ARRI (Arnold & Richter Cine Technik GmbH / www.arri.com ), headquartered in Germany.
Retaining the look and feel of a 35mm film camera, the ALEXA is ARRI's fastest-selling camera and has been used in a wide range of films, including 3D production and commercial shooting. Combined with Cypress image sensors, the ALEXA demonstrates performance that outperforms ARRI's existing CCD and CMOS-based competitors in this rapidly growing market.
ALEXA, produced at ARRI's Munich facility, eliminates long transmission processes and images for editing and color correction
It provides a file-based workflow that accelerates post-production time by making it immediately available. Along with this, the camera's dynamic range; a robust frame that enables operation in different climates; and simple menu controls made it a hit with Cameraman.
Cypress's custom CMOS image sensor is also ARRI's ARRIFLEX D20/D21 digital film, which preceded ALEXA.
It was designed as a camera. Cypress, in many different sensor designs to improve the performance of the ALEXA sensor,
I utilized this knowledge along with the experience I gained.
Cypress's custom image sensor portfolio is used in industrial and medical X-ray imaging, endoscopy, machine vision, and stars
Tracking and space, barcode readers, biometrics, film recording, high-speed line sensors, and high-speed motion analysis sensors, etc.
It is a product suitable for a wide range of applications, including remote sensing.
Cypress’s experience in providing full-service custom imaging solutions is product engineering, product
“We have enabled a one-stop shop for features and support services. Along with CMOS sensors that hold a large market share, Cypress is striving to work closely with customers to strengthen its knowledge base and deliver solutions that optimize their products,” said Lim Young-do, General Manager of Cypress Korea.
We were satisfied with the performance of the ALEXA camera and the market response. Furthermore, the Cypress team delivered an excellent sensor on schedule along with the features we requested.
