LISA-H product family dedicated to remote monitoring and control
– u-blox (Korea Representative: Hyun-jin Ji) has expanded the range of its LISA wireless module product family by launching two new products: the LISA-H100 (for the U.S.) and the LISA-H110 (for Europe and Asia). The UMTS/HSDPA data modem is a dedicated modem for telematics and telemetry applications that require only data rather than full 3G, and is backward compatible with 2G (GPRS/EDGE) networks. It can be applied to applications such as automated metering, PoS terminals, remote monitoring and control, asset tracking, fleet management, and remote sensor monitoring.
"The two newly released LISA products are optimized for speeds typically seen in remote monitoring applications," said Thomas Nigg, Vice President of Product Marketing at u-blox. "These modems support download speeds of 3.6 Mb/s and upload speeds of 384 Kb/s, which are sufficient for most M2M applications."
The new LISA-H modem is an extension of the previously released LISA-U family of full-speed HSPA 3.75G modules. Both the LISA-H and LISA-U families are applicable to all wireless modems optimized for low-speed M2M, as well as high-speed internet, voice, and multimedia applications.

Measuring 33.2 x 22.4 x 2.7 mm, the LISA-H product family is the industry's smallest 3G modem form factor, and each module supports dual-band 3G frequencies (LISA-H100: 850/1900 MHz, LISA
