Keysight Launches Portable Multimeter with Improved Battery Life
Published2016.05.02 14:07Keysight Korea has newly launched the U1280 series and U1240C series portable digital multimeters with improved battery life.
With this, the U1280 series can be used for 800 hours and the U1240C series for 400 hours, which is expected to be helpful to engineers who want to conduct consistent and long-term product tests.
The U1280 series is Keysight's most outstanding portable model, featuring a 60,000-count display resolution and an accuracy of 0.025% error margin, meeting the requirements of engineers in the electronics manufacturing, installation and maintenance, and electrical testing industries.
The U1240C Series 4-digit portable digital multimeter features a 10,000-count display resolution and an accuracy of 0.09% error margin, and provides various measurement functions necessary for tasks in the installation and maintenance of industrial facilities. It also features ZLOW, a low impedance mode that prevents leakage current, and a harmonic rate function that indicates the presence of harmonics.
Both products comply with the IP 67 rating, boast water resistance up to 1 meter and dust resistance, and can withstand drops from a height of 3 meters, allowing them to fully demonstrate their performance even in harsh environments. Furthermore, the U1240C series complies with CAT IV 600V and CAT III 1000V, improving stability during electrical measurement and testing.
In addition, enhanced data logging capabilities can be used with Handheld Meter Logger software. This program can be downloaded from the Keysight website.
For user safety, both the U1280 and U1240C series are compatible with Keysight’s remote link solutions, enabling remote monitoring when a more comfortable testing environment is desired or when testing is restricted in hazardous conditions.

"With these new portable digital multimeters, engineers will be able to skillfully handle performance testing and troubleshooting even in harsh electrical industrial environments."

Keysight Demonstrates LTE-A Pro IP Data Throughput of Over 1Gbps
Keysight Technologies unveiled the latest performance capabilities of the E7515 UXM wireless test set at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2016). Keysight Launches Analyzer Capable of Characterizing Low-Power Devices
