As industrial equipment becomes more high-performance, devices are naturally following a trend of increasing performance as well. Furthermore, beyond simple processing, high-performance processors are now equipped with various peripherals that encompass the diverse connectivity required in the industrial sector, including Ethernet, transmission-related features, and USB. In response to this environment, TI has released over 30 processors, broadly categorized into MCUs and MPUs, including new ARM-based processors such as the ARM Cortex-M3, A8, and ARM9.
