Granting reseller status to SAP for its IoT platform 'DeviceWise'
Establishing a monitoring and control environment for remote machines using IoT technology

Telit (CEO Derek Sang, www.telit.com) announced that it has signed a software license reseller agreement to allow SAP to sell Telit's IoT platform, 'deviceWISE'.

Through this collaboration, the two companies plan to support enterprises seeking to utilize IoT in establishing monitoring and control environments for remote machines, as well as implementing operational environment diagnostics, predictive maintenance, and remote support services. Through this, customers of both companies can securely transmit verified data to SAP Enterprise Systems and realize value via the SAP HANA Platform.

SAP recently unveiled Predictive Maintenance services and solutions along with the SAP Asset Intelligence Network. These solutions and services are designed to support equipment manufacturers, service providers, and operators in integrating Internet of Things (IoT) technology into asset management through sensors and smart devices.

Through this collaboration between the two companies, industrial customers can enhance asset management efficiency by increasing the utilization of applications and business networks, adopting a proactive approach instead of the existing reactive management method.

Telit and SAP plan to focus on enabling companies of various sizes, large and small, to strengthen their business competitiveness and increase operational efficiency through the Internet of Things to reduce costs, while also developing new services and products to generate new revenue streams. For example, a cleaning equipment manufacturer can obtain actionable insights by collecting performance data from remotely operated cleaning machines in real time and conducting big data analysis through an integrated IoT solution.

Through this, industrial customers using cleaning equipment can easily identify when and where equipment requires cleaning and where machines should be installed, and efficiently manage parts and logistics by checking the condition of consumables and performing predictive maintenance.
