'Wind Forum 2016' Held for Future Defense and Aviation Strategy
Published2016.06.27 18:37Wind River announced that it will hold the Wind Forum at Lotte City Hotel Daejeon on the 30th to introduce the latest market trends and share customer experiences based on the expertise accumulated in the global market.
It is held under the theme of 'Past, Present and Future of Aerospace and Defense'.
For this event, Chip Downing, Senior Director of Business Development for Aerospace and Defense, will visit Korea to introduce the latest trends in the aviation, space, and defense markets, market outlooks, Wind River's defense aviation solutions and strategies, and success stories.

Latest Use Cases, Trends, and Certification Outlook for Avionics and Multicores: Applying multicores to avionics enables technological innovation spanning from small to large-scale platforms.
In the afternoon session, a senior technical expert from Wind River headquarters will provide guidelines on the latest industry standards and regulations to share recent trends in global avionics systems. Along with this, a system-level approach applicable to multi-core platform authentication is introduced.
Jang Seung-han, Deputy General Manager at Wind River Korea, introduces a guide for innovation in the development lifecycle, Wind River's simulation solution 'Simics', and the cloud development environment 'Wind River Lab Cloud'.

윈드리버 (www.windriver.com)는 자사의 오토모티브 제품군에 아링가(Arynga) 소프트웨어를 통합했다고 밝혔다. 아링가 소프트웨어는 차량 소프트웨어 OTA(over-the-air) 업데이트 전문 기업으로 SOTA(Software Over The Air)와 FOTA(Firmware Over The Air)를 모두 지원하며, 아링가 소프트웨어 및 개발 팀은 현재 윈드리버 오토모티브 사업부에 포함됐다.

Wind River to Supply Platforms to Airbus Helicopter Systems
윈드리버(Wind River)는 자사의 플랫폼이 에어버스 헬리콥터스사(Airbus Helicopters)에서 출시하는 새로운 통합 모듈형 항공전자(IMA) 시스템 ‘헬리오닉스(Helionix)’에 적용된다고 발표했다. 헬리오닉스에 적용되는 플랫폼 VxWorks 653은 다기능(Multi-function) 디스플레이, 비행 관리 및 제어 시스템, 신규 항공기의 오토 파일럿 기능 등을 지원한다. 또한 단일 타깃 플랫폼에서 서로 다른 임계 안전성 수준을 가진 여러 독립된 애플리케이션을 실행시킬 수 있도록 자원 관리 및 파티셔닝 기능을 제공한다. 에어버스 헬리콥터스사의 크리스찬 프라노(Christian Franot) 헬리오닉스 프로그램 총책임자는 “이미 다양한 IMA 시스템을 통해 입증된 바와 같이, 윈드리버의 안전성 관련 핵심 기술(Safety critical)은 엄격한 안전 기준을 요구하는 제품을 구현하는데 있어서 반드시 필요한 신뢰성 및 유연성, 구성용이성을 제공하기 때문이다. 윈드리버는 또한 시스템 설계에서부터 인증 절차까지 각 개발 주기에 맞춰 엔드-투-엔드(End to End) 전문성을 제공해 순조롭게 전체 개발을 완료할 수 있었다”고 말했다.

Ecolab and K-water Discuss Innovation Collaboration in Advanced Industry Water Management
Ecolab and the Korea Water Resources Corporation jointly discussed cooperation directions for maximizing water use efficiency in advanced industries such as semiconductors and data centers and establishing sustainable water circulation.
