IDT ( www.idt.com , Country Manager for Korea: Sang-Yup Lee), an analog-digital company leading the core mixed-signal semiconductor solutions market, has unveiled the industry's first signal-conditioning re-timers that are fully compatible with the upcoming PCIe® (PCI Express®) 3.0 standard.

This new product is a solution optimized for blade servers, enterprise storage, and communication systems, playing a key role in transitioning high-performance platforms to cloud computing environments. Server and storage systems used in distributed cloud-based computing solutions will feature the industry's first 8Gbps PCIe 3.0, and IDT's Retimer supports performance optimization for this new interface.

The IDT 89HT0808P and 89HT0816P retimers are the latest products in IDT’s comprehensive Signal Integrity Product family, which consists of the widest range of signal conditioning solutions in the enterprise computing and communications application industry.

As the industry's first fully compatible with the new PCIe Automatic Link Equalization procedure, it facilitates system design and provides high reliability when used with any type of PCIe-compatible expansion card or host bus adapter.

IDT's 8-channel 89HT0808P and 16-channel 89HT0816P retimers support communication performance of 8 Gbps per channel over typical system backplanes at twice the distance of standard PCIe 3.0 devices. By improving system performance and stability and reducing overall design complexity, Bill of Material (BoM) costs can also be lowered.

The IDT 89HT0808P and 89HT0816P retimers include a high-performance analog front end, a continuous time-linear equalizer (CTLE), and a 5-tap decision feedback equalizer (DFE). A clock and data recovery (CDR) device is also included. This highly sensitive input features dynamic optimization to recover poor-quality signals and random and deterministic jitter exceeding PCIe 3.0 specifications.
