Agilent Korea (President Seung-Yeol Kim) announced state-of-the-art capabilities that enable the cost-effective testing and evaluation of advanced radar and electronic warfare (EW) systems. These additional features, encompassing signal generation software, signal generators, measurement applications, and signal analyzers, enable test solutions that offer greater flexibility and cost-effectiveness than typical single-purpose EW risk simulators.
Agilent Korea stated, "These highly sophisticated features are focused on the requests of designers creating next-generation radar and electronic warfare systems," adding, "By providing a new level of realism and performance, we are offering flexibility and cost-effectiveness to developers who must handle various variations of current and future designs."
N7620A Signal Studio software for pulse construction in radar and electronic-combat system testing enables the generation of highly realistic test signals. Optional pulse width and pulse repetition interval patterns have been added to enhance the realism of radar simulations, and jitter and warblation add further realism to the simulated pulse-RF signals. In addition, options include a wide variety of antenna scans and radiation patterns, and can support accurate modeling of antenna activity.

Signals generated by Signal Studio can be downloaded to equipment such as the Agilent E8267D PSG vector signal generator, and the recently enhanced PSG, optional UNY, provides -143 dBc/Hz phase noise (10 kHz offset, 1 GHz signal) which is typically required for accurate simulation of moving target indicator (MTI) and pulse-Doppler radar signals.
Signal analysis is essential for the testing and evaluation of transmitters in radar and electronic warfare systems. For detailed analysis of pulse signals, the N9051A pulse measurement application is executed inside Agilent X-series signal analyzers such as the PXA, MXA, and EXA.
In addition, further phase and frequency measurements include pulse-to-pulse step, pulse mean and standard deviation, and chirp modulation and analysis, while extended analysis and statistical options provide numerical and graphical analysis services for pulse signals.
