LCD KVM switches combine console and KVM functionality, enhancing both operational convenience and space efficiency. However, most LCD KVMs still support a resolution of 1280x1024. As standard displays have reached ultra-high resolutions, the relatively low resolution of LCD KVMs has fueled a thirst for higher resolution among KVM users.

Aten Korea (CEO Chen Sun-cheng), a video control solution specialist, announced on the 22nd that it is launching the CL6708MW, an LCD integrated KVM switch that supports high-resolution video quality of 1920X1080 Full HD.

Aten's CL6708MW is an upgraded version of the existing LCD KVM, the CL6700MW. It supports not only DVI compatibility but also 1920X1080 Full HD resolution, a resolution not seen in LCD KVMs, providing sharper and clearer video quality. It also features a 17.3-inch LCD panel, an expansion keyboard, and a streamlined touchpad in a 1U rack design, enhancing efficiency in the work environment.

The LCD panel, with LED backlighting, is sharper and offers superior visibility than typical analog interfaces. Furthermore, the LED lighting, designed with user convenience in mind, allows for effortless use of the keyboard and touchpad even in dark environments.

The CL6708MW boasts high compatibility with high-definition signals, such as NVR sources, thanks to its YUV video format. Color, a crucial component of picture quality, is rendered more accurately and in greater detail, minimizing any degradation in image quality. Furthermore, its HDCP compatibility allows hassle-free playback of protected content media, a significant advantage.

Simultaneous control of up to 64 computers with cascade function

The CL6708MW's outstanding expandability is also noteworthy. With the 1-level cascade function, up to eight Aten CS1768 8-port KVM switches can be added to control up to 64 computers simultaneously. Furthermore, the broadcast mode function allows commands to be issued from the console itself to run all computers simultaneously.

Additionally, Aten's proprietary Video DynaSync™ technology minimizes display issues during boot-up and maximizes responsiveness when switching between ports. This results in a KVM switch that combines a design that prioritizes user convenience in the work environment with outstanding functionality.
