STMicroelectronics' MEMS Accelerometers for Automotive Motion and Tilt Monitoring and Tracking

The new AIS328DQ detects acceleration along three axes and converts motion and tilt information into high-resolution digital signals, transmitting them to a microcontroller via a standard SPI or I2C interface. This accelerometer provides highly accurate output over a user-selectable full-scale range of ±2g/±4g/±8g and boasts excellent stability over time and temperature.
ST’s AIS328DQ, which offers excellent resistance to shock and electromagnetic interference, has obtained AEC-Q100 certification, a critical stress test for automotive ICs defined by the AEC (Automotive Electronics Council).
This sensor, capable of operating over an extended temperature range of -40°C to 105°C, is placed inside a cabin or module containing a self-heating element, such as a power section.
