Acquisition of Cypress Electronics' Cybersecurity Solutions (CSS) business unit

Analog Devices (Korea Representative Director Jae-hoon Yang) announced that it has acquired the Cyber Security Solutions (CSS) business unit of Sypris Electronics LLC. With this acquisition, ADI will be able to provide high-performance analog solutions with enhanced security to meet the demands of current and future markets, thereby significantly strengthening its capabilities in Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.

Cypress Electronics’ Cybersecurity Solutions business unit is renowned for leading the fields of security systems, software products, and technology. For over 50 years, Cypress Electronics has provided highly reliable information security services to critical clients, such as military and government agencies, that require a response to sophisticated, nation-level threats and attacks.

With this acquisition, ADI strengthens its aerospace and defense capabilities in the secure wireless communications sector and reinforces its portfolio of system hardware and software-based cryptographic technologies. Furthermore, by expanding its cybersecurity software and service business sectors, it is expected to provide more comprehensive high-performance analog solutions in various markets, including the Internet of Things (IoT), industrial, and automotive sectors.

Cypress Electronics’ Cybersecurity Solutions business unit will maintain its current facilities in Tampa, Florida, and West Lafayette, Indiana, and will play a pivotal role in ADI’s newly established Secure Technology Group (STG) under the leadership of former Cypress Electronics President John Walsh.
