Official launch of Etymotic ER4 new product

The new ER4 earphones from Etymotic, an American company that was produced in 1991 and still receives praise from earphone enthusiasts, will be officially released on the 2nd.

The ER4 earphones, also known as "living legends," were first produced in 1991 and are still loved today, even in 2016. While their design is unbelievably simple and unassuming for such a high-end earphone, their sound quality is considered top-notch, and they remain one of the best earphones to this day.

First unveiled at CES in Las Vegas this January, the New ER4 earphones have been highly anticipated by earphone enthusiasts, to the point where they're hailed as one of the most anticipated releases of the year. The New ER4 series comes in two models: the ER4SR (Studio Response) and the ER4XR (Extended Response), with the primary difference being the bass range.

The newly released ER4 series has adopted a metal housing, unlike the existing model, and has changed from a 2Pin cable to an MMCX cable. Additionally, by changing the most important driver in the earphones, you can enjoy even more improved sound while maintaining the DNA of the ER4 earphones.

Park Se-won, CEO of Soundcat, said, “We wanted to release the New ER4, which is receiving a lot of attention from the earphone community, earlier, but the release date has been delayed due to increased global demand.” He added, “We will do our best to secure stock as much as possible as we have received a lot of interest.”

The New ER4 will be available for purchase through Auction and Jound from the 2nd, and the initial quantity is known to be 20 units per model, so competition among Etymotic enthusiasts to purchase it is expected to be fierce.
