Toshiba Launches Stepping Motor Drive with Low Internal Heat and Power Consumption
Published2016.09.19 16:26Toshiba Corporation’s Storage/Electronic Device Solutions Company announced the release of the “TB62269FTAG” bipolar stepping motor drive with a maximum voltage of 40V and an output current of 1.8A.
High-speed, high-performance motor drives are required for 3D printers, office automation equipment, financial terminals such as ATMs, bill sorters, entertainment devices, and home appliances. In addition, as customer demand for space-saving equipment with excellent design increases, the trend of equipment miniaturization is accelerating. The importance of reducing internal heat generation and power consumption is also increasing.
Toshiba's new motor drive comes in a QFN32 package, which is smaller than the QFN48 of Toshiba's existing product, the 'TB62269FTG'. This allows for space savings on the PCB.
Toshiba plans to continue expanding its product lineup to meet diverse requirements for motor drive products. Mass production will begin at the end of this month.

Toshiba Corporation's Storage and Electronic Devices Solutions Company announced that it will begin mass production of the 'TC78S122FNG,' a bipolar 2-channel stepping motor driver with a maximum output withstand voltage of 40V and output current of 2.0A, starting August 5th. Additionally, the company plans to add the 'TC78S122FTG,' a package variant product that employs a more compact QFN package, to its stepping motor driver lineup and commence mass production from the end of August.
