LG Electronics Launches Strategic Smartphone 'V20' in Korea

LG Electronics will launch its strategic smartphone 'LG V20' through the three domestic mobile carriers on the 29th. The domestic retail price for this product is 899,800 won.
The 'V20' is the world's first to feature a 'Quad DAC (Digital to Analog Converter)' and has collaborated with the world-renowned audio brand 'B&O PLAY' to deliver world-class smartphone sound. The bundled earphones provided with the 'V20' have also been designed and tuned by 'B&O PLAY', allowing users to enjoy the 'V20's premium sound without distortion.
The 'V20' enhances user convenience by incorporating world-first features including ▲wide-angle cameras on both front and rear ▲Hi-Fi recording functionality ▲the latest 'Android 7.0 Nougat', among others. It also delivers an upgraded user experience (UX) with an enhanced 'Dual Screen' and 'UX 5.0+' applied for strengthened multimedia capabilities.
LG Electronics is further strengthening music content support so more users can experience the 'V20's outstanding audio performance. LG Electronics will provide 'V20' purchase customers with a complimentary 2-month voucher for 'music streaming and storage' from Melon, MNet.com, or Genie, depending on their carrier. Customers can download Universal Music's Hi-Fi music tracks for 990 won each through the 'LG SmartWorld' app, which comes pre-installed on LG smartphones, for approximately 3 months from October 7th through December 31st.
Meanwhile, the 'V20' has received positive reviews from foreign media outlets since its unveiling on the 7th.
Leading UK IT media outlet 'Tech Radar' stated, "Where else can you find a phone with a removable battery, Quad DAC, two wide-angle cameras, and two screens?" and "Once you experience the diverse and impressive features of the V20, you probably won't be able to take your eyes off it easily." US-based leading IT media 'Phandroid' also noted, "Among smartphones currently on the market, the LG V20 offers the best value when it comes to video recording," and "If you're considering purchasing a new phablet, the LG V20 is definitely worth considering."
Cho Jun-ho, President and Head of LG Electronics' MC Business Division, stated, "The V20 was created to deliver a deeper mobile experience to consumers by embodying LG Electronics' core competencies," and emphasized, "We plan to conduct various promotions at consumer touchpoints to showcase the V20's outstanding multimedia performance."
