Dell EMC Holds First Official Event Following Launch as New Company, 'Dell EMC Forum 2016'

The EMC Forum is being restructured with a new name and image to coincide with the launch of 'Dell Technologies,' the world's largest private IT company, and will be held on October 11 at the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas in Samseong-dong. The 'Dell EMC Forum 2016' event serves as the first official event following the integration and introduces a new vision and strategy, along with a comprehensive integrated portfolio.
'Dell EMC Forum 2016' will be held under the theme 'Let the Transformation Begin,' featuring major keynotes and various sessions that showcase digital innovation and data center modernization solutions for enterprises. The opening keynote will be delivered by Frank Hauck, President of Customer and Market Strategy at Dell EMC headquarters, and Kim Kyung-jin, Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of Dell EMC headquarters overseeing the Korea Enterprise division, is scheduled to present the renewed vision and business strategy of Dell EMC.
Following the keynote address, a total of 20 afternoon sessions will be held, divided into 4 tracks: modern infrastructure, converged systems, cloud, and technical guru.
Notable sessions include ▲Modern data centers powered by all-flash, ▲Preparing for the future with IoT (Internet of Things), ▲All-in-one platform for mission-critical applications, ▲Future-oriented IT operations through hybrid cloud, and others. Additionally, global partners including VMware, a strategic business affiliate of Dell Technologies, along with Cisco, Brocade, and Hortonworks, will showcase various cutting-edge technologies related to digital transformation.
This year's Dell EMC Forum will feature a total of 17 sponsors including Brocade, LG CNS, VMware, Cisco, DataSolution, Intech & Company, Korea Information Engineering, Kolon Benite, AI Com, Ezwell Plus, C&G One, GreenBell Systems, Hortonworks, Insung Information, LB Tech, TmaxSoft, and Winsroad.
Kim Kyung-jin, Senior Vice President and President of Korea Enterprise Business at Dell EMC headquarters, stated, "At this forum, the first official event following the integration of Dell and EMC, we will unveil Dell EMC's future strategy and vision as well as our strengthened industry-leading portfolio," and added, "The Dell EMC Forum will provide an opportunity for any enterprise, regardless of their concerns, to find the optimal solutions to achieve IT innovation."

IDC Korea: EMC Korea Ranks First in Domestic All-Flash Array Market with 53.2%
Korean EMC (CEO Kim Kyung-jin) has been revealed to hold dominant first place in both the domestic All Flash Array (AFA) market and Hybrid Flash Array (HFA) market this year, according to a survey by Korea IDC. According to IDC's recent survey, Korean EMC held a 53.2% market share in the AFA market in 2015, which is more than three times higher than the second-place company's 16.2%, representing an overwhelming figure. Additionally, in the Hybrid Flash Array (HFA) market, the company was shown to lead the industry with a market share of nearly half at 46.3%.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems.
