TI Korea (CEO Jaejin Kim, www.ti.com/ww/kr ) – TI has launched three new wireless development kits based on easy-to-use, 32-bit Stellaris® ARM® Cortex™-M3 microcontrollers (MCUs) integrated with TI’s industry-leading wireless connectivity solutions. These kits are provided as modular extensions of the TI Stellaris DK-LM3S9B96 kit, offering development engineers all the software and reference design solutions necessary to add functionalities such as RFID, low-power RF, and Zigbee to their designs. With the launch of these new development kits based on 32-bit Stellaris MCU performance capable of executing advanced connectivity and control functions, TI has built an extensive portfolio alongside its 16-bit, ultra-low-power MSP430™-based wireless connectivity solutions. When the DK-LM3S9B96 development board is combined with each kit containing all the hardware and software required for design, developers can immediately evaluate a working network within 10 minutes using the Quick Start application included in each kit. The performance and integration of Stellaris MCUs combined with TI's leading wireless solutions will enable developers to meet the demand for features that can be added in wireless networking applications, such as prepaid options for smart metering, remote monitoring for home automation, security, alarms, and backup systems for factory automation.
