Siemens PLM Software Provides Solutions for New Ariane 6 Rocket Design and Manufacturing

Siemens PLM Software announced that Airbus Safran Launchers has selected Siemens PLM Software to innovate its entire product lifecycle process. Through this, Airbus Safran Launchers plans to maximize product quality and efficiency and minimize costs associated with the development and realization of launcher programs.
Airbus Safran Launchers is a joint venture jointly owned by Airbus Defence and Space and Safran, established out of the two companies' aspiration to elevate the European space industry to the highest level. The company develops and supplies innovative solutions for civilian and military space launchers. It generates approximately 2.5 billion euros in revenue and employs over 8,000 qualified professionals in France and Germany.
Airbus Safran Launchers, a new leader in the space business sector, plans to proceed with standardization based on Siemens' integrated aerospace solutions, including utilizing Siemens' Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) software portfolios to establish a common digital product development and implementation platform. Airbus Safran Launchers cited Siemens' end-to-end aerospace industry software solutions and technical expertise as key selection factors.
David Quancard, Chief Operating Officer of Airbus Safran Launchers, said, “We are introducing a new approach to space launch vehicle manufacturing. Siemens presented us with the most challenges regarding our working methods and enabled us to define the company’s PLM solutions and manufacturing needs. Airbus Safran Launchers aims to reduce maintenance costs and shorten product development cycles and time-to-market. The newly introduced Siemens system has enabled complete product traceability and improved team collaboration.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
