Huawei Unveils First Premium Smartphone Model in Domestic Market

The launch of the 'P9 and P9 Plus' smartphones marks Huawei's first introduction of a flagship model to the domestic market and is the fourth model released in Korea in partnership with LG Uplus.
Huawei's 'P9 and P9 Plus' are premium smartphones equipped with a Leica dual camera through collaboration with the German luxury camera manufacturer Leica Camera AG. They enable precise and accurate color reproduction and provide the best photography experience with top-tier hardware and software capable of handling excellent optical lenses, sensors, and image processing techniques.
In addition, it features a minimalist design and is equipped with Huawei's high-end chipset 'Kirin 955', offering both the design and performance befitting a premium smartphone.
Wu Bo, General Manager of Huawei Consumer Business Group for Japan and Korea, introduced the P9 series as “a high-end product that offers a stylish design and outstanding performance, along with exceptional clarity, rich colors, and vivid shooting capabilities.”
Excellent mobile photography experience
The P9 series supports excellent mobile photography with a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera equipped with a dual camera module, and through collaboration with the German luxury camera manufacturer Leica Camera AG, it features a dual camera capable of precise and detailed expression.
An RGB camera optimized for accurate color reproduction and outstanding detail, maximizing Leica's optical technology recognized through rigorous quality verificationIt is equipped with a black-and-white camera that delivers rich detail, depth, and color. Additionally, the rear dual camera secures more light to provide powerful low-light shooting capabilities, and creates diverse effects with a total of three Leica film modes and a black-and-white mode.
Hybrid Focus technology ensures fast, accurate shooting and stability, while the wide-aperture function allows for easy aperture value adjustment, enabling various depth-of-field effects through bokeh and focal length adjustment, while maintaining sharp focus on the subject.
Inheriting the minimalist design of Huawei's P series, the 'P9' features a stylish design and is equipped with Huawei's high-end chipset 'Kirin 955', providing all the performance befitting a flagship smartphone.
The 'P9' released in Korea features a 5.2-inch FHD display, a 3,000mAh battery, 32GB of memory, and 3GB of RAM, while the 'P9 Plus' features a 5.5-inch FHD Press Touch display, a 3,400mAh battery, 64GB of memory, and 4GB of RAM. The 'P9' is available in Mystic Silver, Titanium Grey, and Rose Gold, while the 'P9 Plus' is available in Haze Gold and Quartz Grey.
