TI Launches Industry's Lowest Power SATA 6Gbps Redriver/Equalizer
Dual-channel single-lane SATA re-driver and signal conditioner
Supports etch run extension, board design simplification, and the use of external cable extensions.
TI Korea (CEO Jaejin Kim, www.ti.com/ww/kr ) August 25, 2010 – TI has released dual-channel, single-lane SATA redrivers and signal conditioners that provide the lowest active power and lowest ALP (automatic-low-power) modes for all currently available 6Gbps redrivers and equalizers. The SN75LVCP601 features a maximum active power consumption of 290mW, which is approximately 50% of its closest competitors, thereby extending effective battery life in portable devices such as laptop PCs. Key Features and Advantages of SN75LVCP601
• Rebalances and drives high-speed signals transmitted over long distances to provide optimal performance for SATA drives of all speeds (1.5G/3.0G/6.0G) without changing equalization or de-emphasis channel settings.
• Selectable equalization, de-emphasis, and integrated output squelch functions provide the lowest power level.
