Agilent Korea (President Kim Seung-yeol) announced the Agilent 8990B peak power analyzer, which provides faster measurement speeds and greater measurement accuracy in peak power pulse analysis for the aerospace, defense, and wireless markets.
The 8990B peak power analyzer, combined with the N1923A and N1924A broadband power sensors, provides a rise/fall time of 5 nanoseconds (5 billionths of a second), the fastest rise/fall time in the peak power market, making it the best solution for RF pulse measurement and analysis.
The 8990B, boasting ease of use and high performance, features a 15-inch XGA color touchscreen capable of displaying 4-channel results simultaneously to view more image details, and a sampling rate of 100 Msa/s provides the high resolution necessary to detect anomalies in signal tracing for design improvement.

In addition, 15 predefined pulse parameter measurements, including rise time, pulse droop, and pulse bandwidth, are provided with two touches via the touchscreen, and these parameters are used for the design, testing, and verification of power amplifiers, TR modules, transponders, radar test sets and satellite onboard equipment, and other test devices requiring complex pulse measurements.
