SK Telecom's Women's Safety Service 'Jikimi' Sends SOS Messages and Alerts in Emergency Situations
Consists of an "SOS button" and "door opening sensor" compatible with NSOK dispatch security services.

SK Telecom announced on the 12th that it is launching 'Jikimi,' a smart home security service for single women in their 20s and 30s.

'Jikimi' is a smart home security service specialized for women living alone, offering various reassurance features such as real-time detection of external intrusions and danger alert notifications. In the future, a 112 text reporting service will also be provided to report one's location and emergency situations.

'Jikimi' consists of two types, an 'SOS button' and a 'door opening sensor,' and the Jikimi package price is 68,000 won (including VAT and service fees). It can also be purchased as a single item, and the prices including service fees for each product are 29,000 won for the 'SOS button' and 39,000 won for the 'door opening sensor.'

The 'Jikimi' service sounds a danger alarm siren and simultaneously notifies up to five pre-registered guardians via text message with the press of a single button when an emergency occurs. In addition, door opening sensors installed in the home notify customers in real time when a door opens, enabling the detection of external intrusions.

In particular, pressing the 'SOS button' transmits a distress signal to the NSOK security company's control room, identifies the customer's location, and dispatches security personnel immediately.

The 'Jikimi' product can be purchased at SK Telecom stores nationwide, as well as on T World, 11st, Interpark, and ONE Store, with plans to expand sales channels to include convenience stores in the future. Not only SK Telecom customers but also customers of other carriers can use the Jikimi security service immediately after purchasing the product by downloading the Smart Home app and linking it with their device.

Cho Young-hoon, Head of SK Telecom’s Home Business Division, said, “With crimes targeting women living alone increasing every year, we expect the Jikimi service to be popular among vulnerable groups such as single women,” adding, “It will be an excellent Christmas gift for a lover or wife.”

Meanwhile, SK Telecom has also prepared a launch commemorative event where 50 winners will be selected through a lottery to receive a Jikime package by posting a pledge to protect their girlfriend's safety on the official Smart Home website (https://event.sktsmarthome.com/jikime). The application period runs until December 18, and anyone can participate.
