[Defining IT Scene] Domestic Augmented Reality Companies Appear at CES

Maxst, a company specializing in augmented reality software, announced on the 5th (local time) that it will unveil new augmented reality products at 'CES 2017' held in Las Vegas, USA.
The two new products that Maxst will introduce are an augmented reality-based video call solution (VIVAR) and augmented reality smart glasses (Revelio).
'VIVAR' is a software platform that allows the use of augmented reality technology while making video calls. Evolving from the traditional video call environment where users only looked at each other's faces, it enables real-time sharing of information such as 3D content, videos, and images through augmented reality technology. If you draw on the screen in one place, it is displayed in augmented reality on the other side as if it were in reality.
'Revelio' is a binocular head-mounted display (HMD) worn like Google Glass. This product, manufactured as an all-in-one unit without a separate controller, is lightweight at less than 150g and is a futuristic display product that supports a 5-core CPU, 2GB of memory, a 40-degree FOV wide angle, and up to 720p.
Park Jae-wan, CEO of Maxst, stated, “We decided to exhibit at CES 2017 to showcase Maxst’s augmented reality technology to the world and to meet partners who can help expand our products,” adding, “We plan to continuously develop various tools to help augmented reality make life more convenient.”
Maxst announced that it expects to perform well as it will be the only Korean company to exhibit in the Augmented Reality zone at CES 2017.
