Selected as Infotainment Processor Through PSCP
Infotainment Implementation Possible Through Multiple OS and Multiple Display Support

Samsung Electronics will supply Exynos processors for Audi's next-generation infotainment system.

Samsung Electronics stated that the Exynos processor supports multiple OS and multiple displays, enabling simultaneous operation of up to 4 displays installed inside the vehicle, and allows infotainment implementation through fast computing speed and graphics performance.

Accordingly, automakers can apply the Exynos processor to infotainment systems, providing customers with a convenient driving environment.

Audi has been operating the PSCP (Progressive Semiconductor Program) cooperation program with semiconductor companies since 2010 to rapidly apply cutting-edge semiconductor technologies that meet the performance and durability requirements for automotive semiconductors to actual vehicles. Exynos was also selected as the next-generation infotainment processor through PSCP.

Alfons Faller, Audi's infotainment development director, stated, "Samsung Electronics' Exynos processor has demonstrated excellent performance and innovative packaging technology leadership," and added, "Through cooperation with Samsung Electronics, we will develop the best infotainment system."
