Intersil Launches Digital Power Module Providing 17A Output Current
ZL9117M, supports telemetry via PMBus interface,
Can be connected in parallel for high current
September 29, 2011 – Intersil, a global leader in the design and production of high-performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, announced today the launch of the ZL9117M, the latest addition to its power module family. The ZL9117M is a highly compressed digital power module that provides 17A of output current.

The ZL9117M features the industry's easiest-to-use PowerNavigator™ GUI interface, which enables design with just a click. Additionally, automatic compensation algorithms optimize transient response under various load conditions. The industry-standard PMBus interface supports remote performance monitoring and allows for the reprogramming of already installed systems.
Available in a low-profile 15mm x 15mm QFN package, the ZL9117M delivers the industry's highest power density of 1275W/in³. Offering high efficiency with an extremely low thermal resistance of just 11C/W, this product eliminates the need for heat sinks or air-based heat dissipation in almost all applications. For applications requiring higher current, modules can be connected in parallel in automatic current sharing mode.
