Xilinx will showcase its Pro AV solutions with any-to-any connectivity at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2017 at the RAI in Amsterdam. High-bandwidth video processing and compression demos from Xilinx and its Alliance members will highlight their differentiation.

Xilinx recently added the Zynq® UltraScale+™ MPSoC video codec to its 16nm device portfolio, delivering a programmable single-chip solution for simultaneous 4KP60 video encoding, decoding, and transcoding, targeting applications in broadcast, pro AV, surveillance, aerospace and defense, machine vision, and consumer markets.



Xilinx said the video codec's key feature is that it allows video and non-video applications to use the same Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC, allowing customers to preserve their embedded software investments.

Xilinx and its ecosystem will showcase demos. Xilinx will demonstrate real-time 4K HEVC compression with its Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC and VCU, while IntuPix will demonstrate 4K HDMI over IP using TICO. Vaso Silex will demonstrate 4K HDMI over IP using VC-2 HQ, while OmniTek will showcase 4K real-time warping and image stitching, as well as 8K real-time video processing.
