Selected as one of the five products to watch at the North American Veterinary Medical Association

Samsung Electronics has entered the U.S. animal medical device market.

Samsung Electronics unveiled the 'PT10V' animal blood analyzer at the North American Veterinary Medical Association meeting held in Orlando, Florida.



PT10V can simultaneously test up to 13 items, including liver and kidney function and metabolic diseases, and the results can be checked within 10 minutes, so it was selected as one of the 'Must See 5' products at this conference, which was attended by over 700 companies.

The PT10V utilizes microfluidic technology to reduce the size of the equipment and cartridge. Furthermore, it enables testing with just a single drop of blood (70μl), resolving the issue of large blood volumes previously required.

In addition, the PT10V is equipped with connectivity and compatibility that allow test results to be transmitted to veterinarians via mobile apps, such as smartphones and tablets.

Samsung Electronics announced that it plans to expand the range of test items and enhance the competitiveness of its diagnostic devices following the launch of the 'PT10V' in the U.S.
