Microsoft Korea announced today that Halo Wars 2, one of Xbox's flagship titles in the Halo series, will be officially released in Korea. Halo Wars 2 will be released for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, and supports Korean subtitles.




Developed by 343 Industries and Creative Assembly, Halo Wars 2 is an RTS game set 28 years after the previous installment, depicting the conflict between the crew of the Spirit of Fire, who have landed on the Ark—the birthplace of Halo and a legendary space facility—and a new enemy, Atriox, who seeks to seize the Ark. While providing enjoyment through added new units and features, the map design utilizing enhanced graphics technology delivers the largest Halo battlefield in the series.

Halo Wars 2 adds a Blitz mode that incorporates card-based strategy. Players can efficiently build and command armies by reducing the time required for early resource gathering and base construction. A multiplayer mode is also included, allowing up to six players to play by setting friends and the Xbox Live community as allies or enemies. In addition, if you purchase the digital version as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, you can play it on both Windows 10 and Xbox One.

Yoo Woo-jong, Senior Vice President of the Consumer & Devices Business Division at Microsoft Korea, stated, “We are delighted to launch Halo Wars 2, which many domestic fans have been eagerly awaiting.” He added, “As Halo Wars 2 was developed to be playable on Windows 10 PCs, we expect that more people will be able to enjoy the game’s high-quality combat action.” He further noted, “As this is the first Halo Wars title released in six years since its predecessor, we have poured our hearts into enhancing its quality, and we have no doubt that it will become the best RTS game.”
