SKT to Operate ICT Children's Experience Center During MWC
Published2017.02.21 12:27SK Telecom's 'Tium Mobile' ICT experience center will introduce ICT to children and teenagers in Barcelona, Spain during MWC 2017.
SK Telecom announced that it will build and operate Tium Mobile at Universe Plaza in Montjuïc Park, Barcelona during MWC 2017.
Tium Mobile will be built in the shape of a pyramid air dome measuring 400m2 in area and 9m in height in the plaza in front of the main entrance of the 'YOMO (Youth Mobile Festival)' exhibition hall.
Tium Mobile is preparing ICT experience programs tailored to children's needs. Children visiting the experience center will be offered "IT-Based Humanities Class" and "Albert Coding Class."
The "IT-Used Humanities Classroom" consists of ▲Augmented Reality Fairy Tale Classroom ▲Virtual Reality Science Classroom ▲Hologram History Classroom. The "Albert Coding Classroom," which utilizes SK Telecom's coding education robot Albert, offers content such as ▲Coding King Albert using an app ▲Addition King Albert that develops math skills ▲Soccer King Albert that incorporates sports.
SK Telecom has been working with the International Mobile Operators Association (IMSA), Spanish mobile operator Telefónica, and the Catalan government to provide a suitable program in Barcelona.
Telefónica supports local coding instructors who speak English and Spanish. Additionally, considering children's interest in soccer, we jointly prepared a coding education program that borrowed the format of a soccer game.
The Catalan government in Spain will also provide shuttle buses to approximately 20,000 students across Spain during the YOMO period.
