Ranked as the best among media service apps worldwide

SK Telecom announced that its mobile IPTV service oksusu won the "Best Mobile Video Service Application" award at the GSMA Global Mobile Awards, held as a side event of MWC 2017.

The 'Best Mobile Video, TV or Film App' award, won by the mobile IPTV service 'oksusu', is given to the most outstanding product among media, film, TV, and video service apps worldwide.

'oksusu', a mobile IPTV service launched last January, is an open service available to everyone, offering live broadcasts on a total of 115 channels and over 170,000 VOD titles, including movies and dramas.In addition, it also provides self-produced content, personal broadcasts, and 360-degree virtual reality (VR) content.

Oksusu provides more realistic sports broadcasts by shortening real-time broadcast transmission speeds to within 3 seconds through the introduction of 'T Live Streaming,' an ultra-low latency mobile broadcasting technology.

In addition, it provides a curation service that proactively offers and recommends content preferred by customers by applying a personalization engine that analyzes content-specific data such as customer gender, age group, preferred genres, and viewing history.
