LG전자가 올해 모바일 사업의 재도약을 선언했다. LG전자 MC사업본부장 조준호 사장은 스페인 바로셀로나에 위치한 멜리아 바르셀로나 사리아 호텔에서 기자간담회를 열고 올해 사업전략을 발표했다. LG전자는 상하반기에 각각 LG G시리즈와 LG V시리즈를 출시한다. 먼저, LG G6를 3월 10일에 한국에서 처음으로 출시한다. 이후 북미, 유럽 등 주요 프리미엄 시장에 순차 출시하며 글로벌 시장을 공략한다.
