NeuroSky's Mindset is a Bluetooth headset capable of measuring brain activity. EEG signals representing the characteristics of brain activity are recorded through 3 electrodes located on the left headphone and 1 electrode on the user's forehead.
EEG signal interpretation is performed and two parameters such as signal components, meditation coefficient, and attention coefficient can be extracted. The attention coefficient increases when the user is paying attention to specific items. For example, in the case of automobile driving, acceleration is controlled by the attention parameter, and the vehicle movement is structured to accelerate as the user concentrates.
FORUM8 is proposing a research system that utilizes biometric information such as brain waves.
