Equipped with i7 processor and 512GB PCIe SSD

Lenovo Korea announced the launch of the 5th generation 'ThinkPad X1 Carbon' laptop equipped with Intel's latest 7th generation Core processor, 'Kaby Lake'. The 5th generation 'X1 Carbon' is a business ultrabook featuring a thinner and lighter design and upgraded performance.

The 5th generation X1 Carbon has become smaller and lighter. It weighs 1.14 kg and is 15.95 mm thick. By equipping a 14-inch Full HD IPS display in a 13-inch form factor, it achieves a size that is 8% smaller than the previous generation.

It was manufactured using carbon fiber and magnesium alloy of the same grade as materials used in satellites and underwent a total of 12 military-grade tests, including thermal shock tests ranging from minus 20 degrees to plus 60 degrees.



It is equipped with an Intel 7th Gen Core i7 processor, a 512GB PCIe SSD, and 8GB of memory. The battery lasts up to 15.5 hours and supports fast charging capable of charging approximately 80% in one hour. It features two USB 3.0 ports and two Thunderbolt 3 ports. An optional Thunderbolt 3 docking system is available, allowing connection to up to two 4K displays or three FHD displays.

Biometric and fingerprint recognition are available during Windows login, preventing malicious login access.

Lenovo Korea CEO Kang Yong-nam stated, “‘X1 Carbon’ is part of the ThinkPad brand, a representative premium PC brand that contributed significantly to Lenovo’s securing the number one spot in global PC market share,” adding, “It is expected to deliver the best computing experience to business users with its outstanding performance and portability.”
