Trimble announced that it will hold the 'BIM Innovation Conference 2017' at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul on Tuesday, April 4th.

This is an international annual event held in the Asia-Pacific region, including Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia, showcasing the latest industry trends, new technologies, strategies to improve business efficiency, and the knowledge and know-how of customers who have successfully implemented Tekla BIM.

Trimble Korea has completely reorganized the 'Tekla User Day' event that has been held so far into the 'BIM Innovation Conference', and Mark Sawyer, Director of Strategic Business Development Buildings at Trimble Headquarters, will visit Korea for this event.
He will present on the future of the global construction industry and Trimble's business strategies and plans.

The event will feature a variety of content, including technology application cases such as the construction of high-rise buildings, the establishment of structural BIM systems in the steel structure and reinforced concrete fields, BIM-based process integration, work process transformation through the introduction of innovative technologies, civil engineering cases, and steel frame manufacturing automation cases. Leading domestic construction companies, including Lotte Engineering & Construction, POSCO Engineering & Construction, and Daehan Steel, plan to participate and share their experiences and know-how.



Lotte Construction CM Business Division is a Tekla platformThe presentation will introduce an integrated system that integrates form and design modeling automation modules, and will discuss cases of optimal design (Lean Design) and on-site construction applications for overseas high-rise buildings based on this system. POSCO E&C will discuss the establishment of a BIM system for chemical steel structures and civil RC (reinforced concrete) structures, improvements to detailed design processes using Tekla 3D design data, and changes in drawing creation and quantity takeoff management.

Meanwhile, Daehan Steel plans to break away from conventional methods in the reinforced concrete industry and present a vision for transforming processes based on BIM. The company will also propose ongoing solutions and solutions for difficult construction projects. Daehan Steel has signed an MOU with Trimble and is establishing processes and building data through integration with processing machines.

Additionally, at the booth set up outside the event venue, visitors can experience Microsoft's HoloLens, which utilizes mixed reality (MR), a technology that is currently considered to be leading the future of the construction industry.

In addition, eight companies, including Stratasys, MakerBot, BuildingPoint Korea, Intergraph Korea, DSTek, ATC Networks Korea, and ENGSoft, will participate and showcase a variety of construction solutions. At these booths, visitors can learn about the 3D printing ecosystem, the latest BIM portfolio spanning design through construction, world-class structural engineering solutions, mobile apps for the construction industry, and software for engineering applications.
